The company that I work for, Boenning & Scattergood, Inc. (B&S), is once again sponsoring the "Boenning Scattershots" team to participate in this year’s Junior Achievement Bowl-a-Thon. B&S Managing Director, Charlie Crowley, has been involved as a Board Member of Junior Achievement for several years, so each year, our staff spends an afternoon of food and fun, bowling for this wonderful cause. However, this year, Boenning has decided to host a fun "Virtual Bingo Night!"

Junior Achievement is a great organization that introduces children to economics and the free enterprise system, as an important complement to the regular K-12 social studies curriculum. The students have fun in the classroom and gain a lot of practical knowledge and skills that can help them in a variety of areas, including setting career goals and developing an awareness of personal finance considerations. One of their most exciting programs is the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge - a fun-filled, action-packed competition where high school students have the opportunity to simulate the experience of standing on the trading floor of the NYSE.
