I am Once Again Participating in the 2021 Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon!

Please join me…just a small donation will give K-12 students an opportunity to learn financial literacy, work-readiness, and entrepreneurship through Junior Achievement!

As many of you may know, I have been involved as a Board Member of Junior Achievement (JA) of Greater Cleveland for many years. Our team of employees, the "Boenning Scattershots," along with dozens of individuals and companies are once again participating in JA’s annual Bowl-A-Thon! However, in view of the unique circumstances, in lieu of the usual fun afternoon of bowling, Boenning has decided to host a "Virtual Bingo Night." This year's theme is "Disco Inferno," so Zoom may be extra interesting on that day! :)

We would appreciate it if you would consider sponsoring our team. Your donation will help to provide financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurial programs to thousands of JA students.

About Junior Achievement

Junior Achievement is a great organization that introduces children to economics and the free enterprise system as an important complement to the regular K-12 social studies curriculum. The students have fun in the classroom and gain practical knowledge and skills that can help them in a variety of areas, including setting career goals and developing an awareness of personal finance considerations.

Junior Achievement offers many wonderful programs and activities, including JA Entrepreneurial, JA BizTown, JA Global Marketplace, and JA Field Day. One of JA's most exciting and recent additions is the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge - a fun-filled, action-packed competition where high school students have the opportunity to simulate the experience of standing on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Please be sure to get a glimpse of this wonderful program in the video below!

My Personal Experience with JA

My personal experience with Junior Achievement has been both enriching and enlightening. Over the years, I have had the honor of teaching the JA Career Success program to high school students, participating in the Field Day and Career Fair (JA Inspire), and facilitating a special presentation on Entrepreneurship (JA Launch), which exposes students to highly accomplished local entrepreneurs. I have also been a classroom volunteer on many occasions for 3rd and 7th graders. It's always nice to see the students so engaged, inquisitive, and sometimes surprised at how much they learn and enjoy a particular activity or program.

How Will Your Donation Make a Difference?

The best part is...your donation will help Junior Achievement continue to offer these programs at no cost to the schools! Here’s how even a small donation can make a huge difference in helping thousands of kids each year:

$25 – Sponsors one Junior Achievement student

$50 – Sponsors two Junior Achievement students

$100 – Provides curriculum materials for a full classroom
