This is my third Million Step Challenge, my second as the COO of BCS.  And let me tell you, it's all worth it; every aching toe and every dollar we raise enables the staff of BCS to continue to build upon the compassionate and effective services that we deliver in Brooklyn.

What do we do? We serve over 13,800 people each year through the provision of: after school care for over 800 youth in underserved neighborhoods, daycare and pre-K for children too young for elementary school; transitional housing for homeless women living with mental illness, permanent housing, day programs and employment services for people with developmental disability; Personalized Recovery Oriented Services and a world renown club house for adults living with mental illness; emotional and acedemic support for youth in a local transfer highschool and support and training for youth who seek to pass their high school equivelancy exams.
