I’m thrilled to again be participating in BENDIDGO 11.0, a fundraiser paddle from Avalon to Newport, supporting the Ben Carlson Foundation!
This will be my 2nd year participating in this event. Last year, after watching the film "Part of Water", which tells the inspirational and emotional story of Ben Carlson, I was instantly drawn to this cause, the foundation, and the Ben Did Go paddle. I knew immediately that I wanted to get involved, challenge myself, and do something difficult that would make my family and friends proud. Thank you for your help and support!

The Annual Ben Did Go paddle will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026. An epic event that was started by Spencer Pirdy in 2015, has become an annual athletic challenge that continues to grow every year, as watermen and women prone paddle 30 miles through the Channel from Catalina to Newport Beach to raise funds for the BCMSF. In its 11th year, the Foundation plans to raise more than $400,000 ($2,000 goal for each paddler) with donations from all over the world. These funds support international lifeguarding efforts and scholarships to student athletes.
