Animal rescue isn't just something I care about, it's who I am. My life has been shaped and softened by the animals I've loved, fostered, and fought for. They've healed me in ways I can't explain, and now it's my turn to return that love. 

This is why I'm honored to join the Beyond the Bone fundraiser for Animal Harbor. The shelter has stolen my heart, and yet I've gained so much in return. It's a place filled with wagging tails, whiskered faces, and stories waiting for second chances.

I volunteer because I believe every animal deserves safety, comfort and a forever home. I serve on the board because I want to be part of the bigger picture. I want to help shape the future, making sure every decision puts the animals first, allowing us to grow in ways that truly changes lives. And the bonus? I get to witness small miracles every single day. It may be a wagging tail that wasn't there yesterday, a scared cat learning to trust, or simply an animal who's never known kindness finally learning what it feels like to be loved.
