Personal Statement

As an avid cyclist, there is no other feeling or experience than riding a bike. Whether comfortably riding through streets, climbing through steep hills, or flying down a slope. There is no other feeling that is as freeing. To me, cycling has been a hobby of mine since childhood which to this day is my own personal therapy. 

More do I realize, not many have the same luxury or safety as I have to my experience. I truly hope to see more young people to also have the same opportunity to experience what I have. I am happy to be part of this bike-a-thon in order to support the BikesNotBombs' Mission that will encourage and impact the youth in organizations such as Bike School in Jamaica Plain, Youth Apprentices and to be able to ship bicycles overseas. 

For this year's Bike-a-thon, I will also be challenging myself to complete a 100 mile ride, which will be my longest ride to date. Please join me in my journey to reach that goal. I look forward to riding with all the amazing riders and supporters for this cause.
