Lily's fundraising page!

This is the first athletic fundraiser I've ever done in my life! Please join me as I bike 100 miles on September 11 to help promote vocational opportunities for youth (train young people in bike maintenance), physical mobility globally (send bikes around the world), and peace (no bombs!).

Hi!! My name is Lily and I love bikes.

I learned how to ride a bike was I was 21, with an $80 beater I bought my junior year of college from Omer and Bob's in Lebanon, NH.

When I was 22, I moved to LA, headed to a used bike shop the third day I was there, and committed myself to biking 7.5 miles each way to and from my office every day.

Now I am a proud bike advocate living in Somerville, MA, just down the road from Wheelworks. I went on my first bike tour this summer (Burlington, VT to Portland, ME) and am nervous and excited for my first century!! I dressed up as a bike lane for Halloween 2019 (in a dress I handpainted) and proudly bike all year round in sun, rain, and snow. 

 

I consider bicycles to be a fantastic engine for social change as part of the long ride to equality. Please consider supporting this important mission of Bikes Not Bombs!
