My story

Hi there.  I learned to ride a bike long ago when I was a wee one and I'm still doing it.  I've been hurt riding a bicycle many times but no injury has ever been able to keep me away from my bike for long (so far).  That is not to say that my only associations with bicycling have been painful.  Far from it.  I think the reason I continue to ride is that I love the exhilaration of being on a bike with my hair on fire, taking a risk here and there and seeing how fast I can go.  I've done 3 bike-a-thons with bikes not bombs: the 50 mile once and the 100 mile twice.  I've spent the last year or so carefully building up an older model road bike beginning with a bare frame I found on eBay and going from there.  It's now in a state of completeness I'm quite happy with and I'm looking forward to riding it in this year's 100 mile ride with BNB.  Help me get there!  Thanks.
