This is the eighth year I'm requesting support for BikesNotBombs via the fundraising Bike-A-Thon ride for this impressive organization.  As evidenced by exploring the BNB website, they  have for years been effectively embodying the concept, "using the bicycle as a vehicle for social change".  For young adults in disadvantaged Boston communities, and in several Central American and African villages, BNB provides healthy, supportive opportunities to learn interpersonal, mechanical and leadership skills.  One aspect of this is that each youth builds or rebuilds a bicycle that he, she or they gets to keep.  I'm proud to continue my efforts on behalf of BikesNotBombs, a community organization that demonstrates positive, practical results.  And I am grateful to those of you who have previously encouraged and contributed towards my efforts.

You can be confident that whatever donation you make to BNB will be put to good use, and I will certainly appreciate your support towards and during my 50 mile effort.
