Libby Haberkorn and Bre Lewis aren't actually the stars of the hit anime and manga series "Yowamushi Pedal", but if they were their story would start kind of like this:
Libby Haberkorn is a cheerful otaku looking to join her new school's anime club, eager to finally make some friends. Unfortunately, the club has been disbanded and she takes it upon herself to revive it by finding students who are willing to join. Without much luck, Libby decides to make a round trip to Akihabara on her old, bulky city bicycle, a weekly 90-kilometer ride she has been completing since fourth grade.
This is when she meets fellow first year student, Bre Lewis, a determined cyclist who is using the school's steep incline for practice. Surprised by Libby's ability to climb the hill with her specific type of bicycle, Bre challenges her to a race, with the proposition of joining the anime club should Libby win. And thus begins the young girl's first foray into the world of high school bicycle racing!

In reality Libby and Bre are just a couple of friends who like biking together and found the perfect opportunity through the bikes not bombs bikeathon. Their team name, Sohoku Style, is a reference to the anime/manga series Yowamushi Pedal. To ride "Sohoku Style" means to support each other, because the team is only complete when they ride together. They're aiming to do the full 100 mile route, and they would appreciate your support!
