Why I'm Riding
I'm riding 50 miles around the Boston area with Amanda in the Bikes-Not-Bombs (BNB) Bike-A-Thon. The Bike-A-Thon is BNB's biggest annual fundraiser, bringing together more than 500 riders and 120 volunteers in a ride for social change!
Amanda and I will be riding from Jamaica Plain out to the The Food Project's Baker Bridge Farm in Lincoln, MA and back again for a total of 50 miles.
BNB uses these funds to support its great work here in Boston:
- Employ young people as Youth Apprentices;
- Advocate for safer streets for all;
- Provide free bike repair events to Boston families;
- Serve as a Hub for our community through our mission-driven bike shop;
- Ship thousands of bikes to our partners in the Global South, and;
- Process thousands of donated bikes for sale in our mission-driven bike shop, for donation to people experiencing economic hardship, and for use in our youth programs.
