Bikes Not Bombs uses the bicycle as a vehicle for social change to achieve economic mobility for Black and other marginalized people in Boston and the Global South.

The bike-a-thon is the major annual fundraising event for Bikes Not Bombs, to support their work doing youth career development for underserved neighborhoods in Boston, and shipping thousands of refurbised bikes to partner organizations around the world. Even if you don't bike or don't live close enough to frequent the BNB bike shop, donating directly is the best way to support their work. Which, to be clear, is based on the idea that we should be sending bikes instead of bombs to other countries.
