Bikes not Bombs is an awesome organization!  Each year Bikes not Bombs (BnB) collects roughly 5,000 used bicycles and tons of used parts.

BnB has local youth programs in Jamaica Plain where teens learn bicycle safety and mechanics skills in the process of earning bikes to keep for themselves. BnB has a retail shop where they employ teens who have gone through their youth programs.

BnB also ships donated bikes overseas to economic development projects through Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. In these places, a bicycle can allow someone to travel to school or a job.
