Hi everyone!

What a weird year for biking!  All of my normal organized rides have gone Covid, with no fun crowded starts and finishes.  The year has sadly been a washout.  I would at least like to do one of them, and i'm picking my favorite Bike not Bombs Bikeathon.

Bikes not Bombs does so many great things and I want to do my part in supporting them!

After being postponed from June, it is now a virtual ride, from September 12 – 20.  The pandemic has altered many things this year, the Bike-A-Thon included.  What hasn’t changed is my goal of raising money for a great organization, Bikes Not Bombs!

I plan to ride at least 50 miles on September 20th on one of the routes, with a few distanced friends.

Don't forget to ask your employer if they will match your donation; this can be a simple way to increase your support. 

Also, please make your donations before September 19th. This will allow me to total my donations before the 20th. 

I will be fundraising as part of the Boston Cyclists Union-$50K Team.  Last year we were the top fundraising team; we raised $13,809 for Bikes Not Bombs.  If you are interested in joining me on the virtual ride, there are several distances to choose from: 10, 30, 50, and 100 miles.  It is easy to be part of the team: when you register for the Bike-A-Thon, just type "Boston Cyclists Union-$50K Team" in the "team" section.  You will still have your individual fundraising total, but you will also contribute to the total for the Boston Cyclists Union-$50K Team!
