My Personal Fundraising Page

I am excited to be raising money for Bikes Not Bombs through its Bike-A-Thon.  In previous years, I would be riding with hundreds of other riders, but this year, the ride is socially distanced--everyone is riding their own ride over several days in September.

Like last year, I am riding 100 miles--my plan is to ride on Saturday, September 12th.  Heavy rain will mean I ride on the 13th.  Heavy rain on the 13th will mean I'm doing 100 miles on my bike trainer.  (I don't want to do that.)

Planned route: a 75-mile loop from Medford to Harvard and back (bike out to Bedford and do this route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/2719136, then bike back), then a 25-mile loop to Weston and back (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29705327 without the Lexington starting point).

Bikes Not Bombs is an organization that has managed to think both locally and globally.  Some of its programs set up and sustain bicycle infrastructure in countries around the world.  And others help kids in Boston learn bike mechanics and bike safety.  The bikesnotbombs.org home page explains all the things that the organization does much better than I can.
