9-year-old Sofia has reached many milestones at Easterseals! In Occupational Therapy, she is working on improving her fine motor skills, develop self-regulation strategies, and improve sensory processing to stay focused and calm in busy environments. In Speech Therapy, Sofia is working on improving articulation of specific sounds to increase speech clarity, expand expressive language to form words, and strengthen following multi-step directions. 

Sofia has enhanced her confidence in making more sounds, utilizing gestures, and helping people understand her needs. With the help of Meg-OT, Sofia is learning ways to be more self aware and help us recognize what she needs. With her adapted bike, she has had the opportunity to go on bike rides with her twin brother, and improve her strength and stamina.
