Community Link Buddy Walk 2025

The 19th Annual Community Link Buddy Walk will be a day of peace, love, and good vibes on September 13, 2025 at Northside Park in Breese, IL. In response to the outta sight reviews from last year, we will once again kick off our celebration with karaoke performances by our participants beginning at 10am. Following the opening ceremony, the highlight of the morning will be the 1-mile fun walk together through the streets of Breese at 11am. Can you dig it? After the walk, we will enjoy some mellow time together with family and friends. Activities include games and crafts, lunch available for purchase from The Red Porch Café and other vendors, and many far out surprises.

The Buddy Walk celebrates and supports the participants of Community Link. 97.5% of the funds raised stays in our community. The National Down Syndrome Society receives 2.5% for advocacy and public awareness initiatives that benefit all individuals with Down syndrome. Help us spread the word! All are welcome for our day of celebration!

You can make a BIG Impact by becoming a Community Champion and giving a monthly recurring gift. For a gift of $15 or more per month, you with receive 4 registrations to the walk, recognition at the walk and on our Facebook page, and a handmade gift from a Community Link participant will be sent after the walk. Plus, ALL of your donations will contribute to your team goal, and our total goal of raising $150,000 for the mission and participants of Community Link. This year, our t-shirts have been design with artwork by Community Link participant, Jim Albers. He loves drawing and is happy to share his talents to perfectly represent our retro 60's theme of Peace.Love.Walk.
