I'm walking in the Cape and Islands Suicide Awareness Walk to raise awareness and funds for our communities. All proceeds go to four local non-profits; the Samaritans on Cape Cod and the Islands, the Cape and Islands Suicide Prevention Coalition, NAMI Cape Cod & The Islands and Sharing Kindness, Inc. to provide education and advocacy for suicide prevention.

The Barnstable County Human Services Department reports the suicide rate on the Cape and Islands is more than twice the state average and suicide is now the second leading cause of death for youth ages 14-25. Together we can start this conversation and end the silence around suicide. #LETSTALKCC and put a stop to this tragic loss of life.
