Virtual Participation

We will be following all CDC guidelines at our walk: requiring masks, social-distancing, and keeping our spaces clean and sanitized. We understand, though, that some people will need to take extra precautions and participate from afar.

No matter where you are on May 22, we are glad you are with us.

The Virtual Experience

Sign Up Online

  • First, create an account on our walk website when you register as a Fundraising Participant, then select the 'Virtual Walker' option.

  • Share your participant page with friends and family to explain why you are "walking" with us on May 22. Encourage them to donate or walk with you, too!

  • Once you raise more than $25, you'll receive an official event T-shirt in the mail to wear on the day of the walk.

Share Across Social Media

  • Sharing Kindness - the primary organizer of this event - will post live content all morning on May 22 to their Facebook and Instagram pages. Tune in at 9 am for a 'Yoga for Grief' class, followed by streamed ceremonies, shared educational materials and Cape-wide resources; plus you can see pictures and videos from other participants during the day. Follow Sharing Kindness now for the latest walk updates.

  • Use #LetsTalkCC on your own social media to encourage courageous conversations about suicide on the Cape & Islands. Show off the shirt you earned or tag Sharing Kindness for the chance to be a featured participant on May 22.

Walk When You Can

  • If you are able, we would love to have you walking "with" us on May 22 - whether that means walking in your neighborhood or around your town, on a treadmill, or taking your own stroll anytime between May 15-22! Our route is just about a 3-mile loop.

  • If you would like to walk our exact route at another time, you can find the map for our walk here.

  • Don't forget to tag Sharing Kindness in any pictures you post to social media from your own walk!
