I'm cycling 868 km from June 17-24, 2023 to support the invaluable mental health services that CASA Mental Health provides for children, youth and families in Alberta.
Having dealt with the challenges of mental health in my own family I understand the tremendous benefit the CASA Mental Health services provide to children, youth and their families. I am fortunate enough to have had access to mental health services for my family, so I want to do my part to raise money for this amazing organization to support their 5 year road map as leaders in delivering child-centered, family-inclusive mental health services.
Embarking on an ambitious five-year roadmap in 2022, CASA Mental Health sees the sun rising on new opportunities to meet the needs of its many communities, including:
- Doubling the number of kids we serve from approximately 4,000 to 8,000 per year
- Expanding services in our own footprints and exploring online service
- Going closer to where kids are, by working with community partners to find spaces in their facilities and organizations to provide service
Together we can change the face of kids' mental health and help create a brighter future for child, youth and their families.
About CASA Mental Health
CASA Mental Health is an established non-profit organization delivering mental health services to Albertans aged three to 18 and their families. CASA provides mental health service to the missing middle – mental health treatment for diagnosed children and youth, in between prevention and promotion in primary and community care, and acute treatment in hospital.
CASA Mental Health’s team of mental health professionals are trauma experts committed to delivering service in collaboration with community partners and offering hope to children, youth and families throughout Alberta. This includes assessment and treatment for up to 4,000 children, youth and their families each year, from community outreach settings to intensive treatment programs.
