Why I Choose to Support The Coordinating Center!

I am excited to fundraise for The Coordinating Center, because ALL contributions, regardless of the amount, truly make a difference! The Coordinating Center serves Maryland's most vulnerable individuals and families, many with rare diagnosis, chronic health conditions and others who are experiencing homelessness.

100% of the funding raised directly benefits children and adults with disabilities and complex medical needs in Maryland, so they can achieve their aspirations for independence, health and meaningful life in their community

Your Donation supports the Family Resource Fund

When a client of The Coordinating Center is in need of assistance, highly skilled coordinators (e.g., nurses, social workers, health coaches, housing coordinators) seek low- to no-cost resources to meet the need. The Coordinating Center’s Family Resource Fund helps people afford:

  • Adaptive equipment (e.g., chair lifts, bath chairs, car seats, wheelchair tie downs)
  • Assistive technology (e.g., communication devices, products for visual, hearing and speech impairment)
  • Housing Services (e.g., one time rent or utility assistance)
  • Medical equipment and supplies
  • Respite services
  • Other critical services and supports

With more than 9,200 people served statewide, it is critical that we grow this fund.

CenterFlix Sponsors

CenterFlix 2023

I started CenterFlix in 2016 to help The Coordinating Center grow its Family Resource Fund. CenterFlix is a Fundraising Gala, which celebrates the lives of people with disabilities and complex medical needs through music, film and art.

Those of you who are local, I hope you will join me for CenterFlix on May 11, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore. Come celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Coordinating Center and help me raise critical dollars for our clients.

CenterFlix will feature a cocktail reception with live music, auction, raffles and inspirational films. The Center will also present its 2nd Disability Advocacy Award to an organization or individual whose advocacy efforts made a difference throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
