Who here has a change container? Don't we all? My mother-in-law has been collecting dimes and quarters in a large Coke-shaped container for as long as I've known her. But did you know with just a few handfuls of those coins you can make a difference in our community?

I've joined the dozens of Child & Family Service champions in a fun-raiser and fundraiser called the CFS' "Families Helping Families: Virtual Marathon of Quarters" campaign. Quarter by quarter, mile by mile, we are coming together to raise money to support safe, healthy, and successful families in Hawaii. So many ... too many are struggling right now and they need our help.

Please join me by measuring your height and donating the total length in quarters (1 quarter is roughly 1 inch) via this website. Or please donate $20.75. This is the total height of my son and daughter, whom I hope we can provide along with all the keiki of Hawaii a successful tomorrow. Together, we can get to the finish line to help the families of Hawaii.
