Mission:
The mission of the J Motiv8 Foundation is to support youth programs that provide the essential tools needed for teenagers to grow and develop in all areas of their lives to reach their full potential.
Overview:
Jason Moore started his J Motiv8 Foundation based on his wonderful childhood experiences. He was encouraged to discover his passions, develop various skills and talents, and given to tools needed to accomplish his goals in different areas of his life, include academically, athletically, and musically.
Growing up, Jason never limited himself when it came to trying new things and stepping outside of his comfort zone. Throughout his years in the Oberlin school district not only was he a standout star in football baseball and basketball, but Jason also participated in the school orchestra for 8 years. He played the Viola from 5th grade to his Senior year. While playing under Harriet Thomas, one of the counties most decorated music teachers in the last 30 years, he grew his musical skills, learned to read music, and mastered the skills to harmonize with an entire group of different musicians, Jason often talks about how he enjoyed playing in the orchestra and how it gave him a different perspective outside of sports. It was an experience he’ll cherish forever and encourages the youth and other young adults to step outside their comfort zones in order to discover their passions and potential in what they can achieve. Uncomfortable situations, plus great character, equals great growth. The J Motiv8 Foundation is dedicated to promoting character development for young people through various workshops and camps.
