“I count the kicks, I share your story, and I honor your life—because you mattered then, and you matter forever” unknown author

My story

On January 18, 2022 we welcomed Remedi Marie Clyburn into this world but time was not on our side and she passed peacefully on January 19, 2022. We miss our baby girl every single day. While at TydetoGrace, a support groupfor women who have gone or going through infertility, miscarriage, stillbirths and infant loss; I was informed about this special walk. At first I was nervous and scared to go to this event because I wasn’t sure what to expect but as soon as I got there, I felt an overwhelming sense of relief being in the presence of other moms and families who are in the same grieving journey as us. The walk gave me strength to find a way to honor Remedi and created a yearly tradition to be part of.

My story- I lost a baby, that feeling, memory, trauma will never go away. I will grow with my grief and try to find ways to honor Remedi. I will teach others about the awareness of pregnancy and infant loss.

Counting the Kicks is super important, especially during the third trimester.  I had an interior placenta so it made it very difficult to try to feel her and count her movements. Every expecting mother should have all the proper education and resources at thier fingertips. The count the kicks organization provides education and supporting resources to ensure that all moms have a healthy pregnancy to the end.

I am 1 of 4 women who endure this pain every day, month and year. All we want is for our babies to be remembered and honored. White pumpkins, pink and blue strings and candles may be nothing to some but to us bereaved moms, it means a lot. It means we remember our babies not just at this walk but everyday they are not with us. It means we honor other babies and support other families. It means we spread awareness that people turn an eye to. It means we are strong to share our stories.

I encourage all of my family and friends to be part of this wonderful walk whether you are in person or virtual. We would love to have you walk along us, as well as our fellow bereaved families and support supporting us and our babies who are no longer with us.  If you’d like to sponsor or even donate, please proceed to my page and find whatever options suits you.

I appreciate all the people in my life that continue to support, honor and speak Remedi name- she did exist- let’s make that known.

I created a website in honor of Remedi but also to provide support for other moms and families going through the pain that we endure. Feel free to read more about my story and find resources to help other families going through what we’ve been through.
