I am the mother of a forever baby, Fletcher Andrew Connelly. Fletcher was born on March 23, 2025, at 36 weeks. He weighed seven pounds, one ounce, and measured 20 inches long. He had beautiful reddish-blonde hair and was absolutely perfect - except he wasn’t breathing.

I was completely blindsided. I had always been led to believe stillbirth was extremely uncommon. I was even more shocked when no clear cause could be determined, and it was attributed to a likely umbilical cord accident. Many late-term stillbirths are never given a definitive cause, and they are far more common than most people realize.

I am walking in honor of Fletcher and his innocent, short life. My wish is the funds raised from this walk will help other families not have to go through the eternal heartbreak of losing a baby.

My husband and I will always, always love our darling Fletcher. I am proud to do this work on Earth in his honor, while he loves us from afar in Heaven.
