Thank you for supporting our team as we honor the beautiful life of our daughter, Lydia Jaelle Barkley. Lydia was stillborn at 30 weeks on October 13, 2014, due to an umbilical cord accident. Although we only held her in our arms for a short time, she will forever be our firstborn daughter, a cherished member of our family, and the beloved big sister to Luke, Lilah, Benjamin, and our baby girl on the way.

Lydia's life continues to inspire everything we do. We feel her love and presence every day, and her legacy has led us to create the Walk of Remembrance so that families have a place to honor and remember their precious babies while helping prevent other families from experiencing this heartbreaking loss.

As a Count the Kicks Ambassador, I am passionate about raising awareness of the importance of paying attention to your baby's movements during pregnancy. Looking back, I now know that the significant change I noticed in Lydia's movements the day before she died was a warning sign. I truly believe her life could have been saved if I had known what those changes meant.
