On March 7, 2026, Corky Ingraham passed away from Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), a rare and rapidly progressing prion disease that causes severe neurological decline and dementia. Tragically, there is currently no cure.

Corky’s journey began in April 2025, when he first started experiencing confusion and cognitive changes. What followed was a long and difficult road filled with countless medical tests, doctor visits, inpatient and outpatient care, home health support, and an ongoing search for answers. In December 2025, Corky finally received the devastating diagnosis of CJD.

Throughout this heartbreaking journey, Susan remained his steadfast companion, advocate, and greatest source of strength. Her unwavering love, compassion, and dedication carried Corky through every stage of his illness.

The Masters of South Texas family wishes to honor Corky’s memory by supporting awareness, education, and research for prion diseases. It is our hope that through increased understanding, earlier detection, and continued medical research, future families may one day face a different outcome.
