On Sunday, June 21, we lost our beloved Irene Andersen to Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), a rare and devastating neurological disease that affects only a small number of people each year. The speed and severity of this illness changed our lives forever and brought us face-to-face with a disease that so few people have ever heard of.
In honor of Irene's memory, we are raising funds to support research through the CJD Foundation. Our hope is that increased awareness, education, and scientific research that will help families facing this disease in the future and contribute to the search for better treatments, earlier diagnosis, and ultimately a cure.
Irene was deeply loved and will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and the impact she had on everyone fortunate enough to know her. While nothing can fill the void left by her passing, we hope that by supporting CJD research, her legacy can help bring hope to others.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will help support the important work being done to understand this rare disease and raise awareness about its effects on patients and families.
Thank you for honoring Irene's memory and helping us turn our grief into a purpose that may one day make a difference for others.
With gratitude,
The Family and Friends of Irene Andersen
