Welcome to our fundraising page in honor of my amazing mom, Anita Sue Magrini.

If you knew my mom, you knew exactly what brought her the most joy. She was happiest when she was surrounded by the things she loved most: tending to her beautiful garden, watching the birds, and admiring her favorite flowers. But above all else, her heart belonged to her family. She lived for her husband, her kids, and her grandkids, pouring unconditional love into all of us every single day.

Recently, our world was turned upside down when my mom was diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD). CJD is a rare, aggressive, and devastating neurodegenerative disease that currently has no treatment or cure. Watching someone who brought so much life, warmth, and beauty into the world face this illness has been completely heartbreaking for our family.

During this painful time, the CJD Foundation has been a vital lifeline for us. They provide essential resources to families, offer a 7-day HelpLine, and—most importantly—fund critical medical research aimed at finding a cure for prion diseases.

We are raising funds to support the CJD Foundation to honor Anita’s strength, spirit, and boundless love. Our goal is to help fund the research that will one day ensure no other family has to endure this heartbreak.
