Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This year I have the pleasure of serving as SFU's United Way Campaign Chair, and couldn't be more excited to kick off our campaign! As part of our first fundraiser- ClimbUp- I will be walking/hiking over 28,000 steps (or approx 22 km) to raise funds for United Way. 

I know the realities of working and living in a pandemic have challenged us all. But those who already face barriers—things like poverty, homelessness and social isolation—need even more help during this time. This is why United Way is listening to and working closely with community partners to identify areas of urgent need and co-creating impactful and timely solutions. We are stronger together. Now more then ever you can show your #LocalLove virtually.

United Way of the Lower Mainland works with local agencies and programs that provide support to vulnerable children, youth, families and seniors living in poverty and facing barriers. 

Your gift will allow us to invest resources where they are needed most:

• Basic needs- Ensure people have access to life’s essentials, such as food.

• Help to seniors- Ensure that while vulnerable people are isolated, they are also supported.

• Capacity for community services- Ensure that community partners can continue to do their vital local work.

• Mental health support- Enable crisis lines and system navigation services.

• Support for volunteers- There are amazing people rallying to support others. They need our help too.
