Hello, my name is Katie Dowling. I am from a suburb outside of Columbus, Ohio and currently attend Miami University where I study primary education and business commerce. I strive to become an elementary school teacher after graduation. I have always had a passion for caring for children, I am a nanny and have worked with children whether that is coaching dance and cheer, babysitting, or being around my little cousins. I saw a school bus full of adorable children drop them off in front of a building near my dorm every week, after that I found out some of my peers were in the club. Once I saw the videos and pictures of the children and their mentors having an amazing time together I knew I had to join College Mentors for Kids. I am currently a general manager for a group of lovely fifth and sixth grade students. I joined this club to help brighten a child's day, give them a unique experience, and teach them important values of life and to learn from them myself. I never knew the impact these children would have on me today, just being around these wonderful kids for a couple hours each week has given me an educational experience I will keep forever. The children deserve the best, and a donation to College Mentors for Kids would allow them to have exciting activities they can look forward to each week.
