Thank you for coming to my page, I want to share a very brief version of my story with the bleeding disorders community to try and give you a window into why supporting the Unite Walk has meaning.
My family has a history with the bleeding disorders community. My grandaddy had Hemophilia B and we sadly lost him to a brain bleed when I was 5, before I really got to know him. My Auntie Lori and Uncle Steve have been champions in the bleeding disorders community for many years. I got my own diagnosis of Hemophilia B when I was 20 which means my future children will have a 50/50 chance on inheriting the condition. After discovering my passion for nonprofit work and building community connections after college , I started working for the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation in 2024 to give back to a community I am a part of. WHen I started my job, I could not have imagined the impact the chapter has on people's lives and the stories I would get to share and be a part of.
Through over 2 years at the Colorado Chpater of the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation, I have built meaningful connections with fellow community members, learned more about my own diagnosis and treatment options, and seen how vital the resources we can offer the community are to overall health. Any money you donate stays within our community to directly support the work I do everyday! It helps to funds crucial advocacy, education, research, and support services. Between my personal connection to the communtiy and the work I do with my job, this has become one ot the causes I am most passionate about supporting. I would love to share more about what we do and stories about the community with anyone who wants to know more. You donation goes a long way to support the work we do.
Thank you for standing by me in this effort! Your support means the world to me!
