This year will be our 3rd time participating in the Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk! It has been a little over 2 years since we found out Finn has severe Hemophilia B and almost 1.5 years since Finn got a port for his infusions of Factor 9, which we now do weekly at home. During the first year, many people in this wonderful community assured us, "it will get easier" and thankfully, it has. Finn, at 2.5 years old, has mastered his weekly treatment routine. He knows every step and is very involved and helpful in the process. He patiently wears a mask, sits on his mom's lap, watches TV, and stays incredibly still while his dad mixes medication, sets up a sterile field and lays out all the supplies needed to access and give medication through his port. Finn helps push the syringes, enjoys a lollipop, and picks out a bandaid afterwards. While many things remain stressful, unknown, and sometimes scary, we are endlessly grateful to this supportive community and the resources available. 

The 2026 Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk is a fundraiser to support the bleeding disorders community! All money raised stays within our community and funds crucial advocacy, education, research, and support services for kids and their families.
