This time of year is about gathering—around a table, with the people we love, in the places we call home. Across Northwest North Carolina, every table has a story: a favorite recipe passed down through generations, a house full of family and laughter, or a neighbor making room for one more.

For families facing higher grocery costs and rising everyday expenses, gathering around the table can also bring difficult choices.

Second Harvest works alongside nearly 600 partner food assistance programs across our 18-county region to help ensure neighbors have access to the nourishing food they need—during the holidays and throughout the year.

Every day, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC helps local families in need of food assistance working with 515+ on-the-ground partner programs serving 18 Northwest North Carolina counties. Each time you participate in a Virtual Food Drive, you entrust Second Harvest to direct your gifts to where they are needed most. This includes, but it not limited to, the purchase of food items needed by our partner network members, such as, but not limited to, the representative items on this website.
