I’m thrilled to be participating in Protect Our Future Leaders, a fundraiser supporting Degrees of Change! As a SEED Intern Alum, I have personally experienced the impact of Degrees of Change programming. SEED Internships taught me interview skills (I've only ever gotten direct feedback after answering a question in an interview once since!) and how to advocate for myself as a young professional.

One piece of advice I still carry with me today comes from a SEED professional development panel: "You have to save yourself before you can save the world". Since moving away from home, I have leaned on both the soft and hard skills I developed in SEED when entering into professional spaces where I did not always feel like I belong. I am grateful I can invest in Degrees of Change today the same way they invested in me all those years ago.
