Hello! My name is Riya Patel and I am a National Pediatric Cancer Foundation ambassador from Stony Point High School. In the future, I seek to pursue a profession in Pediatric Oncology, so this particular fundraiser is close to my heart. 

As the COVID-19 pandemic grows, so does the vulnerability of children who are battling cancer. These children already have weakened immune systems and need your support in times like these!

Did you know that 43 children are diagnosed with cancer every day, and only 4% of all donations for cancer research go to developing medications to treat pediatric cancer? Unlike the majority of research which focuses on adult treatments, the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation is specifically designed to fund research to find less toxic, more targeted therapies for pediatric cancer.
