My life has changed dramatically since being matched with Service Dog Klondike V in May 2023. I have done things I couldn't have imagined doing this time last year. I am more confident with going out alone and I am more independent with everyday daily tasks. We have recently started volunteering at local events to be able to tell my story, raise awareness for the amazing work canine companions does, and give back to the most amazing organization that helped change my life.
I'm participating in DogFest LA/OC because I believe in Canine Companions and their mission to provide expertly trained service dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities FREE of charge.
Leading up to DogFest LA/OC, I am raising money to support the Canine Companions mission. The impact these dogs have on the lives of people with disabilities is incredible. Help me get to my fundraising goal by donating online so we can get more of these amazing Canine Companions service dogs into the lives of those who need them. From day one, this boy has been so spoiled. Our partnership is mutually beneficial, which means that I provide everything that he needs, including comfort, nutrition, vet care, grooming, exercise, and more.
We met Joshua Landry from Lo Spirit 4/19. This artist also suffers from chronic health conditions and his music has helped me tremendously. Without Klondike, I would have never been able to attend an event like this.
