Dance Arts Centre is teaming up with True Friends to host the16th Annual Dance with Courage Dance Marathon which has raised over $310,000!
Dance Arts Centre remains focused on teaching our dancers the important values of working together, leading by example, maintaining deep values of social responsibility and giving back to our community, which make our partnership with True Friends a perfect match!
True Friends is a nonprofit organization that provides life-changing experiences for children and adults with disabilities. True Friends’ programs include camp, respite, therapy and adaptive riding, retreats, travel, and team building. True Friends camps help children and adults with disabilities build their confidence, increase their independence, and make lasting friendships, all while having a blast water tubing, horseback riding, and zip-lining.
While this year continues to look different for our fundraiser, our goal remains the same! We are committed to bringing our DAC community together to support True Friends and their mission of providing life-changing experiences for children and adults with disabilities that enhance their independence and self-esteem.
Our efforts to raise money for this nonprofit is crucial as True Friends continues to rebuild after a difficult season. In 2021, True Friends worked diligently to create safe spaces for participants to enjoy our therapy and adaptive riding program, respite care, and summer camp experiences at a limited capacity. True Friends is excited to welcome back even more participants in 2022 who are eager to return to camp for life-changing experiences with their friends.
Although our dancer’s won’t be dancing at the mall again this year, we will still move forward with our online fundraising and fun challenges for top fundraising teams and individuals.
