As I approach my 24th birthday on September 24th, I wanted to use this occasion to give back to an organization that has had a meaningful impact on my life and the lives of my family.

I am incredibly grateful to share that I am approaching one year seizure-free. This milestone means more to me than I can put into words, and it has given me an opportunity to reflect on the support, education, and resources that have helped my family and I throughout my journey with epilepsy.

The Epilepsy Foundation of Long Island provides invaluable support to individuals and families affected by epilepsy through educational programs, information sessions, training, advocacy, and community resources. Their work helps people better understand epilepsy and reminds those living with it that they do not have to navigate it alone.

On October 17th 2026, the Epilepsy Foundation of Long Island is holding their annual walk at Eisenhower Park from 10am-1pm. In honor of my 24th birthday, I have created a Fundraiser with a goal of raising $365 before the walk date. I also created a team, "Strent=Strength," and on the day of the walk, we will all join together as a united group to raise awareness for a common cause! Please consider joining my team and attending the walk on the October 17th!
