After being diagnosed with Epilepsy at 20 years old, Megans entire life as she knew it was flipped upside down. Before her diagnosis, she never imagined that one day her life could change so suddenly. In what felt like an instant, the life she knew was turned upside down. Things she once took for granted became things she had to think twice about. Her independence, her plans, and her sense of security were all affected by a diagnosis she never expected to receive.

Epilepsy is more than just having seizures. It impacts every part of someone's life, often in ways that other people cannot see. There are fears, restrictions, uncertainty, and countless adjustments that come with learning to live with epilepsy.

While navigating this new diagnosis, The Epilepsy Foundation has been a source of education, comfort, support, and has offered a wealth of resources for Megan, and her family and friends as well.
