Melissa was bright, beautiful, energetic, and the center of attention wherever she went. She was the oldest of a “yours, mine, and ours” family. She loved dancing, singing, pageants, and standing right in front of the camera in all of our home movies ? Melissa loved her family, and held that as every motivation to get her life together when things got bad. She tried many times to fight the holds of addiction. We were lucky to spend 7 months of sobriety with her that included Thanksgiving, Christmas, her 25th birthday, and Easter. A relapse took her from us on May 14, 2011. We remember her for the spark and energy she brought everywhere she went, the positivity and drive she held for life, and the love for her friends and family that showed in all circumstances. ❤️
