Horses are keenly attuned to the emotions of humans and to nonverbal cues, and interacting with them and caring for them hase been known to produce positive therapeutic outcomes, including increased confidence and self-esteem. Additionally, studies have shown that grooming, feeding, and caring for horses reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, and improves overall health.
Our Equine Opportunity Program emphasizes positive communication, mindfulness, and our shared responsibility for animals and the natural world. Children who participate in our equine opportunity program get to enjoy companionship with their equine partners.
