I am both humbled and grateful to support a cause with a mission that impacts, and saves, so many lives. I continue to be in awe of the incredible group of women who channeled their grief into stillbirth prevention efforts in the hope of preventing other families from experiencing the pain of losing a baby.
Originally introduced to me by my friend,Tiffan Yamen, Count the Kicks has been close to my heart for many years. I have seen firsthand the impact that counting the kicks matters. Shortly after the program launched, theGilbert & Cook family was impacted when Tiffan shared her story with one of our Advisors, Megan. She then began tracking her baby’s movement during her pregnancy. She was alerted when her baby stopped moving. Counting the Kicks was the life saving measure for her son, William. Today, William is a rambunctious, 9-year-old full of life! Read Megan and William's amazing story by clicking here.
I’d be honored for you to join me in supporting this critical mission to educate and empower expectant moms by raising awareness to save babies across the country.

Founder and Managing Partner, Gilbert & Cook, Inc.
After an early career in investment planning convinced her that people should come before products; in 1993 Linda Cook founded Gilbert & Cook, Inc., an independent wealth management firm specializing in financial planning. Linda’s goal in starting her own strategic financial planning company was to build long-term relationships based on identifying needs and exploring solutions, rather than ‘selling something’. She set out to build a team of experienced professionals that truly understand clients, listen to what they want to achieve, and find the right financial solutions to meet their needs.
After graduating from the University of Northern Iowa, Linda became a Certified Financial Planner. She is a graduate of Greater Des Moines Leadership and is a past Board Member of the Entrepreneurs Organization (Iowa Chapter). She is also the Past President of both the Financial Planning Association of Iowa, and the Iowa CFP Association.
Currently, Linda is a member of the UNI Board of Trustees and serves as chair of the Investment Finance Committee. She is also a member of the Iowa Association of Business and Industry, the National Association of Women Business Owners (Iowa Chapter), and FIN Capital.
