This January the EWE Spirit Foundation will be in Key West to “live like EWE” and raise money to support individuals facing urgent and immediate needs.
Personally, I will be running the Half Marathon to support the EWE Spirit Foundation founded by my college friend and teammate Mary Iliff Ewenson. Mary started the foundation after the untimely passing of her husband, professional sailor and all-around awesome human, Geoff Ewenson. Mary's desire and drive to make something positive come out of this tragedy has been nothing short of awe inspiring. If I can have any small part in helping her help others in his memory then it is well worth the hours of training.
There will be people running the Half Marathon, the 5K, sailing and volunteering. All of us will be channeling the EWE Spirit and raising funds for the foundation.
Over the last two years, the EWE Spirit Foundation has granted out $220,000 to sixteen organizations across the country, and it’s just getting started! Please join me in this effort and make a donation to help us reach our goal, so the foundation will continue to help those in need.
