I think most of you know how important Camp del Corazon is to me. We were unable to have our large in person Gala this year which is our largest fundraiser of the year and now the in person Family Fest is virtual. When the decision was made that on the island in person camp wasn't safe this year...sure everyone was really bummed... but without missing a beat in the spirit of our co-founder Xena camp said... Virtual... we can do that! And in barely over a month Camp 2.0 was created. We did a week of camp all on Zoom! The creativity was incredible... beyond anything I had imagined it could be. The campers still got to connect with each other from their own homes, parents and siblings also were given to opportunity to get a glimpse of the magic we have on the island. It may have been a different "venue" but the camp spirit of that week was alive and well and still is. If you are able please donate! Even in a pandemic when almost the whole year was canceled Camp refused to let our campers down. They knew that more than ever these kids needed camp this year. ?❤️
