About My Fundraiser

I'm doing a virtual 5K to raise money for Independent Animal Rescue. I've been a supporter of IAR for more than 5 years. IAR does wonderful work with dogs and cats in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina, where I live. I fostered Elmer, Maeven, Bear, Millie and Elma for IAR. Their pictures are in the gallery below. Please consider supporting IAR and me by donating!

In November, I embarked on a Virtual Challenge to walk the distance from Land's End in England to John o' Groats in Scotland in one year or less. I am currently walking at least 4 miles a day. I will dedicate one day of my "LEJOG" (Land's End-John o' Groats) challenge to IAR. On that day (April 3rd), I anticipate having just crossed the border into Scotland - virtually, of course!
