The Foster Moms of Foxtail Farms

A Fast & Furriest Pandemic

We converted our guest room into a foster room in March of 2020, when it became clear that human guests would not be joining us for quite some time. IAR had already helped us tremendously when a pregnant semi-feral cat showed up on our door step the summer before, and yet again when her sister arrived a few months later. We've sinced cared for 17 foster cats in our four-legged guest room and it's been the highlight of an otherwise pretty dreary year.

In that time we've been amazed by the incredible work that IAR does for the feline community in and around Durham. Their trap-neuter-release program for feral colonies has drastcially changed the landscape of stray cats in our community. And the many humans whose lives have been enriched by adopting pets fostered by the loving crew of IAR foster parents, like us!, are true testimant to their impact.

Please consider supporting this cause that is near and dear to our crazy cat lady hearts. ?

As time allows, we'll keep updating our slideshow below with all the furriest faces who have called Foxtail Farms a temporary home.
