In December 2022, Joe and I found out at my 35 week ultrasound that our baby had a blockage in his digestive system and would most likely need surgery once he was born. Before we could even make any plans, he decided he was ready to join us that night! The day he was born, he was brought down to the Westchester NICU. I am so thankful for my friend recommending that we reach out to the Ronald McDonald House! They welcomed Joe and I in on the day B was born. The staff was so kind to us on such a crazy day. We are truly so thankful that they had a room for us to stay so that would be close to Bennett as he awaited surgery and during his recovery in the NICU. The staff at the Ronald McDonald house was not only so helpful and accommodating, it was also where we spent Christmas Eve and Christmas. I will never forget waking up to presents under the tree for B, just a day and an half after arriving. I really can’t even explain how above and beyond they go for the people staying there. We don’t know what we would have done without their help and kindness! Please help us to give back to this amazing organization or join us this Sunday, April 27th for Footsteps for Families, Walk Over the Hudson.
