About 4 years ago I was asked to be on the Play It Forward Golf Tournament Committee which is a collaboration with The Santa Fe Community Foundation, The Las Campanas Community Scholarship Fund, and The First Tee of Santa Fe.  Out of that committee I was asked to be on the Board of Directors of The First Tee of Santa Fe.  I thought this would be a positive way to honor my late husband, Ransom Reynolds, and give back to my community.  Ransom was a scratch golfer and introduced me to this humbling game that I have come to love and respect.  Ransom was a purist when it came to golf - he walked, played his ball where it lay, knew and followed the Rules of Golf, and worked hard to play his best.  He was happiest when he was outside with friends (and me) or alone enjoying the sun, the beautiful landscape, and pushing his skills against the course.  Though he didn't have a formal program he learned the Nine Core Values that are part of the LIfe Skills Programs at The First Tee of Santa Fe:  Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perserverance, Courtesty, and Judgement.  So it is with Ransom in mind and the kids who are in the program who may not have a father who plays golf (like Ransom did) that I push myself to play 100 holes!  Of course, having fun is a definite goal as well so I have asked Robin Rodar to be my teammate.  We ask for your support and we will let you know our results right after we see the chiropractor, acupuncturist and massage therapist following those 100 holes!
