For more than 80 years, Legal Aid lawyers have provided a continuum of legal services to clients in the areas of domestic violence/family, housing, public benefits, and more. Legal Aid is also seeking to expand into the areas of eviction defense, domestic violence survivors, and immigrants' rights.
Did you know? The Generous Associates Campaign raises more than 25% of Legal Aid's annual budget, providing much-needed legal assistance to over 10,000 DC residents every year. Funds from the Generous Associates Campaign helped add 10 new attorneys to Legal Aid between 2017 and 2019.
